Every Second matters!
If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of your dog choking here is some guidance to help you.
Place your dog on its back against the floor, then straddle over it, adjusting yourself to your dog’s size. Position your Dog’s head in line with it’s airway parallel to the floor.
Make an open diamond shape with your hands, and place your thumbs on either side of the trachea below the object stuck. Grip the V of the jaw using lip/cheek to protect fingers.
Push with a J-stroke, pressing down to and against the object until it ejects from the mouth.
Both this method and the Heimlich method have been proven to work in these scenarios, so don’t hesitate to save your dog.
